as our means of evaluation

debrief

The SMART objectives were met for session 1 but were unfortunately not met for sessions 2 and 3. At the end of each session, a debrief was conducted to evaluate if our objectives had been reached. I believe our debrief was an appropriate means of evaluation because each child was given the opportunity to share their response after a question was asked. During session 1’s debrief, every child gave a response that met our SMART objectives and one boy even volunteered to summarize the session. However, due to time constraints during sessions 2 and 3, we prioritized our time on certain activities while other activities had to be cancelled in order to maintain optimal learning for the children. Therefore, we were unable to meet our SMART objectives for those sessions.

At our planning stage, our budget was projected at $356.33. At the end of the programme, it tallied to $209.48. I believe our use of budget was well-balanced. Our use of budget was efficient because, as we started preparing our logistics for the implementation stage, we discovered that we could save money on items that could be brought from home. However, the bulk of our expenditure went to the printing of the journals, but they were used only in session 1 due to time constraints. Additionally, since we bought our food in advance, we spent extra money to buy more food to accommodate to last-minute changes made to food preference on session 3. Hence, our expenditure was reasonably within budget.
